Hi Stefan
Thanks a lot for your reply. We are making a document. We are putting our requirements together, then what is available in SAP mill.... Coming Tuesday we will send you the document. We may need more help from your team to understand what mill can offer.

Thomas
Hi Thomas,
> Empty reel calculation (Do we need to use variant configuration for this)
Input for the reel calculation is the sales order single length and master data of cable / reels.
The formula for reel calculation is called by using VC.
Details you find here:
Reel Calculation - SAP Mill Products - SAP Library

Hi All,
We are using Mill_OC for combining the production order, we stuck in one functionality.
Can we unreleased the combined order production order or any work around solution???
Regards,
Sameer
Dear Sameer,
Did you tried Read PP Master Data.?
To reverse back the Production order back to CRTD status. Please go to transaction change production order.
Then go to Production order -> Functions -> Read Master Data. Try and let me know.

Alok Tiwari
Hi Sammer
If the Production Order is in Released status and to get back into created status,
Please go to Transaction Code: CO02 and follow the below path
Production Order -> Functions -> Read PP Master Data and then status changes to CRTD status.
Hi,
We are using Mill_OC and we have an issue with combined order, after combine order release is it possible to reverse in created status???
please provide your suggestion.

Sameer

Hello,
Is it possible to unreleased the combine order after releasing?
please provide your suggestion.

Sameer
Hello,
We are using MILL_OC for combining the production order and GI / confirm the operation on main production order and did the GR @ migo on child production order.
Moreover, now we are facing the problem in the case partial confirmation, where system re-determine the yield + activity values but it is not updating/re-determine the value of "Goods Movement" for movement type 261 and 531 based on back-flushing.
For Example:
Production Order : 1000 EA ( in component overview based on bom - 1000 = 1000 Raw Material )
while confirming the production order they have confirm the yield quantity = 500 EA , for that operation system consumed 1000 EA. where redetermine is not worked.
So we are requesting you, please put lights on above issue.

Hi Stefan
We have one more requirement . Can you please help us or can you connect us to IS Mill team.
Ability to schedule multiple parent orders when child component is on a single reel. Here the component material is in a single reel. One component reel can be fed only to one production line at a time. So if we have different orders that needs the same component reel, is it possible for scheduling the parent orders one after other automatically. Will SAP IS Mill order combination be able to help us in addressing this scenario. We discussed with APO team and they told that they cannot schedule orders automatically by looking at the component reels.
Hi,
If you have maintained "Fixed quantity" check under component overview, then the backflush quantity will not change based on your confirmed quantity.
Check the component overview, or go to the order BOM, double click on the line item and see whether the below is enabled. Remove this tick and try again
Thanks
Prem
Hi,
You could use commodity management for it.
For each metal contained you would create a condition type and put it into the pricing procedure.
The material would use batch specific Unit of Measure, where for each metal a unit of measure is defined and in the material master a default conversion factor is maintained as proportional unit of measure.
The condition types would pick up based on the metal UoM the quantity being contained. The condition type would also use commodity pricing to determine the specific metal price from the various market places like LME.
You can have different terms to determine the final price for each metal independently, but the item itself will have the all the same payment terms.
If you google SAP Commodity Management, you will find additional information on the solution.
If you like to specify certain quality requirements and contents on a contract/sales orders you can use variant configuration or configurable material variants (if you want to use Make to stock), but that may require a note with code modification to enable a standard ERP system (available in Mill solution though).

Hi Thomas,
To my knowledge, it will not happen "automatically" as the parent orders are different. A planner will have to sequentially schedule the orders.

Prem
Hello Uwe
I know that this is an old thread but I see that many users keep posting questions here.
MRP does not run at batch level and it does not carry out any kind of check for the batch expiration date. I think that the easiest way to exclude expired batches from MRP is using BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA. With method CHANGE_MDPSX_MARD of this BAdI you can manipulate the stocks and exclude the expired batches.
See the following document with an example of this BAdI:
Making an element not relevant to MRP or MD04 using BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA

Dear All,
Hope it is the right place.
It happens in posting goods-received inbound for subcontracting PO, to have the output material in the system.
it complains about PO's input material as below:
Message no. MILL105 Matl xxxxx Batch xxxxx: Negative stocks not allowed for single-unit batches.
Batch xxxx of material xxxx is a single-batch. The posting would result in a negative stock level of 0.008- for the batch.
On the component overview of the PO, the indicator 'Qty is fixed' is checked.
So it means there is still some calculation behind to end up error above.
Please advise.
Thanks
